How many books are there in NCERT Class 10 Hindi?
There are four NCERT books in Class 10 Hindi: Kshitij Bhag 2, Sparsh Bhag 2, Kritika Bhag 2, and Sanchyan Bhag 2. Kshitij and Kritika are prescribed for Hindi Course A; Sparsh and Sanchyan are prescribed for Hindi Course B. Your school will follow one of the two courses — check your timetable or ask your Hindi teacher to confirm.
How many total chapters are in NCERT Class 10 Hindi?
Across all four books, there are 32 chapters in total — 12 in Kshitij, 14 in Sparsh, 3 in Kritika, and 3 in Sanchyan Bhag 2. Students studying Hindi A cover 15 chapters (Kshitij + Kritika); students studying Hindi B cover 17 chapters (Sparsh + Sanchyan). You do not need to study all four books unless your school specifically requires it.
Which NCERT Class 10 Hindi chapters are most important for board exams?
From Kshitij, सूरदास, तुलसीदास, यशपाल, and मन्नू भंडारी have appeared most frequently in recent CBSE board papers. From Sparsh, कबीर की साखी, प्रेमचंद – बड़े भाई साहब, and कारतूस are high-priority. From Sanchyan, हरिहर काका and सपनों के-से दिन are asked most often. That said, CBSE's paper-setting is rotation-based, so no chapter should be skipped entirely.
