What Are the Available JEE Main 2024 Question Papers?

JEE Main 2024 was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) across two sessions. Session 1 ran from January 24 to February 1, 2024, and Session 2 ran from April 4 to April 9, 2024. Over 12.57 lakh candidates registered for Session 2 alone, making it one of the largest engineering entrance exams in the world.

Each session had two daily shifts — Shift 1 (9 AM to 12 PM) and Shift 2 (3 PM to 6 PM) — producing a different question set for every slot. All papers are available below as free PDF downloads, along with detailed answer keys prepared by eSaral's faculty team.

JEE Main 2024 Paper Analysis can be checked here on eSaral. JEE Mains 2024 paper 1 exam dates are from Jan 27 to Feb 1. More than 12.3 lakh candidates are scheduled to appear for JEE Mains 2024 session 1. JEE Main admit card 2024 B.Tech for all exam dates has been released at the official website jeemain.nta.ac.in and jeemain.ntaonline.in. Candidates can download their JEE Main 2024 session 1 hall ticket here using their application number and DOB. The exam timings are from 9 AM to 12 PM and 3 PM to 6 PM for shift 1 and shift 2. On the exam day, you must carry a signed copy of your admit card with the self-declaration form JEE Mains 2024, a passport-size photograph (to be added to the attendance sheet), and a valid photo ID proof.

JEE Main 2024 Session 2 was held from April 4 to April 9, 2024 (dates: 4, 5, 6, 8, and 9 April). As per candidate feedback and paper analysis, the April session difficulty level was closely comparable to Session 1. Physics was reported as slightly more calculation-heavy across most shifts.

There are a total of 90 questions in the JEE Mains exam. Candidates are required to attempt 75 out of 90 questions in 3 hours. Since there is a negative marking of -1 for each incorrect answer, you should only attempt the questions you are sure about.

What Score Do You Need in JEE Main 2024?

If you are looking for admissions at top NITs and IIITs, you need a 180+ score to get the 99th percentile and a rank below 10,000 in the exam. Likewise, a 110 and above score is required to get a 95+ percentile and a rank below 50,000.

JEE Main 2024 Paper 1 — Key Details

As per the IIT JEE exam pattern guidelines, each subject will have two sections. Section A will be of MCQs and Section B will contain questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value. In Section B, aspirants have to attempt any 05 (five) questions out of 10. There will be negative markings for each part Section A and Section B. For each question in Section B, a candidate has to enter the correct integer value of the answer using the mouse and the on-screen virtual numeric keypad designated to enter the correct answer. In Section B, the answer should be rounded off to the nearest integer.
