Mind Maps for Modern Physics Revision - Class XII, JEE, NEET

The mind maps cover five topics: Atomic Structure, Photoelectric Effect, Nuclear Physics (two maps), Radioactivity, and X-Rays. These maps together address all the major modern physics chapters from the Class 12 Physics NCERT syllabus — Chapters 11, 12, and 13 — as tested in JEE Main, JEE Advanced, and NEET.

Mind maps work best as a revision tool, not a primary learning resource. For JEE Advanced, use them after completing NCERT and higher-level problem sets. The Photoelectric Effect and Nuclear Physics maps are particularly useful for JEE Advanced since both topics carry multi-mark integer-type and paragraph-based questions.

JEE Main typically has 2–3 questions from modern physics per paper, based on NTA's official papers from 2019 to 2024. Photoelectric Effect and Atomic Structure (Bohr model) are the most consistently tested subtopics. Revising these two mind maps alone can reliably secure 8–12 marks.

Radioactivity and Atomic Structure are the highest-yield topics for NEET, each contributing 1–2 questions per paper. The Radioactivity mind map covers the decay law, half-life, and alpha/beta/gamma properties — all of which appear in NEET Biology-adjacent physics questions. Photoelectric Effect is also tested regularly.
